My Story

Brenda ‘SilverFox’ Emmanuel

UK born/Jamaica reared gospel singer/songwriter Brenda ‘SilverFox’ Emmanuel the second of three children, migrated to Kingston Jamaica at the age of 6.  Even as a child Brenda was always singing, first singing publicly in her high school choir, Excelsior High School.

An extremely talented and anointed singer/songwriter with a great passion and flair for gospel music, Brenda has added choir directing and vocal training to her forte. In 2012 she was the UK Choir Director for two groups of singers during the Olympics (the ‘LWCI Praise Team’ and the ‘LWFCI Worship Choir’).

As her passion for music grew, she became a member of the St Boniface Junior Choir, the Golden Horizon Gospel Group, the St Benedict’s Folk Choir and then the Mighty Benedictions Band.  Brenda gained extensive vocal experience as the lead vocalist with a number of secular groups and bands in Jamaica.

A former member of Kingdom Choir Brenda continued to grow from strength to strength ministering throughout Europe and Africa with different groups.

As a part of an ensemble of gospel artistes Brenda recorded a Haiti charity single SOMEBODY HELP ME PLEASE written by Israel Houghton and Noel Robinson in 2010.

Brenda’s debut EP BOLDLY I COME which she considers one of her greatest achievements in fulfilling her dream to give praises to the ‘Most High God’ in song was released in 2013. The title track of the same name tells the story of where Brenda is and the fact that it is only because of God’s ‘Grace’, ‘Mercy’ and ‘Goodness’ that she can now stand boldly before His throne.

In 2014, Brenda, as part of the Women of Hope Choir, recorded a Charity Single WOMEN OF HOPE written by Michelle John in support of #bringbackourgirls# Campaign .

In 2017, saw Brenda releasing a reggae single entitled MY EVERYTHING and it is said that this reggae track together with her ‘smooth dulcet tone’ crosses the cultural and musical boundaries; so with your eyes closed, you can only think of the beautiful Caribbean Island of Jamaica (aka Yaad).

Silverfox (as she is known because of her silver hair) released another reggae track CLAIM IT (IT’S ALREADY YOURS) on Christmas Eve 2021. This track reminds us that everything we need for life – the Lord has already provided -
We Already Have It 2 Peter 1:3 tells us, “By His divine power, God has given us everything we need for living a godly life’.
